# Contributing

Looking to contribute? All types of help are appreciated, from coding to testing and feature specification.

If you are a developer and would like to contribute with some code, please open an issue to discuss before opening a Pull Request. We have also defined some [Good First Issue tasks](https://github.com/cpvalente/ontime/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22good+first+issue%22), which should give a good introduction to the app with minimal complexity.

Information about the project setup can be found in the [development documentation](https://github.com/cpvalente/ontime/blob/master/DEVELOPMENT.md)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://ontime.gitbook.io/v2/contributing.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
